Cloud Computing Security and Compliance Challenges – June 11, 2022 7:30 am to 11:15 am. George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia Panelist presentations are on line. To get there click here. Cloud computing and virtualization are hot topics in information technology discussions. Although there is a widespread view that cloud computing is inevitable, there are significant issues that need to be considered and addressed before sensitive information and critical data are entrusted to these evolving environments, particularly for government organizations and those who provide them contracting support. To facilitate understanding these issues and to contribute to an informed path forward, we are convening this breakfast workshop and planning a more in-depth session in the Fall. We have identified two categories of issues to frame the presentations and discussion on June 11th, and inform development of a Fall program. 1. Security of cloud computing environments 2.
