David Owino is an established leader in business, technology and consulting with over 16 years of management experience in organizational alignment and strategic leadership for results oriented organizations. Being an alumni of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Egerton University, Kenya Institute of Management and currently writing an Msc in Management of Technology and Innovation at The Davinci Institute of Technology Management, David has a successful track record in conceptualizing and building companies from the ground up and executing effective turnarounds and development of Blue Oceans. David has held senior strategic positions at: Safaricom (Head of Safaricom Business) where he was at the forefront of steering Safaricom in its Data and Fixed Mobile Convergence strategy; Kenya Data Networks (Chief Operating Officer) where he was part of the founding team from idea inception to the company becoming a market leader and the biggest data carrier in East and Central Africa; Africa Online Holdings (Operations Manager) and Swift Global Ltd right from start up to become its General Manager. David was also The Africa Online Post Acquisition Integration Manager, successfully merging Swift Global and Africa Online in Uganda.

Mr Owino has immense knowledge and experience gained from his years in the IT and Telecommunications Industries and has the uncanny ability of turning ideas into business outcomes which has led to his involvement in several startups in the East Africa region.  Mr Owino is a Co-Founder of HumanIPO.com, Executive Director at The BCS Group, a Director at Digital Business Solutions Ltd and a consultant and practicing partner in Plexus Group, a consultancy, management and marketing company with offices in Kenya (Nairobi), France and UAE (Dubai).
